a new year, some new thoughts
>> 1.05.2010
I have never been one to make new year's resolutions or goals. I don't know why but I never have. Do you make resolutions?
Despite my non-resolution making afforts I have had a few thoughts rolling around my head this week on a few things I would like to accomplish this year.
01:: master the art of drying my hair with a large round brush {and in return use my flat iron less}
02:: read at least two books a month
03:: improve obtain some photography skillz {more specicially: feel more comfortable shooting in manual mode}
04:: be more supportive of hubby dear. remind myself that he has A LOT on his plate this year
05: do a much better job at staying in touch with my out of state friends
06:: learn how to create a tablescape or vignette that actually looks pleasing to the eye
07:: be a better homemaker {make an effort to keep things organized. put my PW cookbook to work and make a few new recipes a month}
08:: go on a mini vacay with hubby
09:: be consistent in the discipline of my children and try really, really hard to be slow to anger
10:: be more intentional with my time in general, my time in the word, and my relationships with other people
Well there you have it. Just a few things I would like to work on this year. I know not all of those are serious goals, but hey who says you can't attain some fun things too? It might just make it easier to reach your goals if they aren't all too serious or stuffy.

Those are great resolutions - I love PW and have made some of recipes before, never disappoints!
And I should learn to utilize my round brush more. I'm more of "get it dry and then flat iron the heck outta it" kind of gal.
those are GREAT resolutions. i like the be slow to anger. it's worded in a such a nice way that is very meaningful and purpose-filled.
I don't want to sound like a broken record...but they really are GREAT resolutions.
I just became a follower of your blog ... and I'm excited to be one of your readers!
We, too, are working in the discipline area...I have a 4 1/2 year old who is pushing hard right now. We are consistent....very prayerful... but it's hard!
